Healing Mass… Because Father Ruane will be on retreat we are going to have our Healing Mass April 9th the second Friday of April.  

 

Good Friday… We are reminded that this Friday, Good Friday, is a day of Fast and Abstinence. One full meal, two snacks and no meat. 

 

A Happy for the Children… We have planned an extra Happy for our children. We began this a couple of years ago and it seemed to be tremendously popular. In place of an Easter Egg Hunt we will be inviting all of our children and their parents to gather in front of the Church on Easter morning after Mass. Among our surprises will be a show of love for our children and their Bible School Teachers.  

 

Holy Land Collection… A special collection will be taken up on Good Friday for the support of the Church’s work in the Holy Land. During this time of turmoil the plight and suffering of Palestinian Christians has become desperate. Our support of the work of the Church in the Holy Lands is even more important than ever.

 

Please Note… Traditionally in the past we’ve had Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until midnight. Because of a lack of participation of people coming to participate in Adoration, (especially from eleven to midnight). We are hoping that our people will participate until 10:30 o’clock. As you know the Blessed Sacrament should never be placed for Adoration without somebody being present.

 

Annual Retreat… Fr. Ruane will be joining several of the priests and bishop Latino for our Annual Priests Retreat beginning Monday April 5th thru Friday April 9th. The Retreat will be at St. Mary of the Pines in Chatawa. If there is any emergency during this time please call Karla at the Rectory, Monday, Wednesday or Friday till 12:00 noon or call her cell 417-2333. 

 

Holy Week…  Help, we need four workers and three sheet cakes for the Presbyterian Church. This is to help for the Holy Week Services. St. Peter is responsible for Monday March 29. Services are at noon contact Gerry Morris at 417-1160.   

 

Sincere Gratitude… Olga Shiver wants to thank everybody, priest and people for your calls, cards and prayers. She is recovering nicely and hopes to be back in church soon.       

 

R.C.I.A… Because of commitments to Holy Week we will NOT be meeting this Tuesday.
