Healing Mass
Mass this coming Friday February
5th is the First Friday of the Month. We are encouraging as many people
as possible to participate in this Mass of Healing, where we pray to God for health of
mind, soul and body. This Mass will be at 10:00am Friday morning. Hopefully our Knights of
Columbus will furnish a little breakfast so we can have time for fellowship and
conversation.
Why Catholic? The next session of Why Catholic? will explore
the Eucharist and the other Sacraments of our Church. These should prove to be very
interesting gatherings for our Catholic People. There is a workshop on this very subject
at St. Francis of Assisi in Greenwood, today, Jan. 31, 2010
from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.
Facilitators
Since we are about to begin Why
Catholic? we would like to encourage all of those who were leaders
of groups in the last session to hopefully be willing to serve in this
position again. So please, start calling in your people, and anybody who did
not get to participate in the last session to please join us as we begin our Why
Catholic? journey toward Lent.

Choose Life
Science can tell us what is, but
it cant tell us good from bad, right from wrong. Therefore it is not anti-science to
oppose embryonic stem cell research and human cloning. It is pro-science to care enough to
keep this powerful enterprise within proper ethical parameters. (Wesley Smith, NRL News, June 2008)
