RIPPlease remember in your prayers Sue Mathews, Frankie Fortier’s mother, whom the Lord called home this week, may the Lord grant her eternal rest and bless her family and friends.

Why Catholic?” We had fifty sign up for “Why Catholic?” so we ordered sixty books, just to be on the safe

Books              side, but we are short in books.  There may be a few books setting around somewhere, but in any case, we ordered some more. They cost our parish $10.00 each and we don’t want to be wasteful.

Facilitators These are our facilitators: Mike Liberto 662-417-6220, Lee Munstenteiger 662-417-7948, John Portis 662-417-4781, Irene Stark 662-417-0968, Gerry Morris 662-417-1160, David Livingston 662-809-2432. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call your leader.

Make a DifferenceThere is a very worthwhile drive afoot to provide groceries, non-perishables, food items for the food Pantry So we are asking everybody to pitch in and help since a lot of people are having a difficult time because of the recession and scarcity of jobs. Groceries may be taken to R&S Cleaners on So. Commerce St.

It’s Not Too Late   We have received good and glowing reports of our “why Catholic?” gatherings and it is not too late to join a group. Call any of the facilitators listed in the bulletins for the time that suites you best.

Rite Of Christian Initiation Of Adults  The RICA continues this week after the 6:00pm evening Mass, and again we want to extend a very special invitation to anybody who might be interested in our Catholic Faith. It’s not too late to start!

Choose Life “Honk If You Were Once a Baby,” proclaimed the thought-provoking sign carried by a young person in this year’s March For Life. Other poignant signs included, “Every Time A Baby is Aborted, Love is Denied” and “Right to Choose/That’s a Lie/Unborn Babies Don’t Choose to Die.”

Quotes…

1. “You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.”  (Eleanor Roosevelt, 1884-1962, American First Lady, Author, Speaker and politician)

2. “Determination and perseverance move the world; thinking that others will do it for you is a sure way to fail.”  (Marva Collins, Educator)

3. “There’s plenty of intelligence in the world, but the courage to do things differently is in short supply.”  (Marilyn Vos Savant, Columnist, and Lecturer)
