Knights of Columbus Anniversary Mass…Please note that the Mass on Thursday, November 18th, is at 6:00pm for the happy repose of the souls of our departed Knights and also for our parish families faithful departed. Food will be served after Mass. Let us make an honest effort to remember our dear departed ones.

All Souls… The month of November in our Catholic Church is traditionally, the month in which we remember, with love and prayer the souls of our dear departed ones. Masses during the month of November, unless otherwise requested, will be offered for the faithfully departed. It would be nice to have some more of our people remember our dear departed ones at one of our daily Masses. MR

Important Dates… December 12, 2010 Christmas Supper, details later

December 14, 2010 Reconciliation, details later

Adoration Of The Blessed Sacrament…  I would like to start Adoration of the Blessed  Sacrament for  one hour on the first Monday of each month. I want to see how many people would be supportive of this very special devotion. We can always extend the Adoration Time if the support is good. It would be nice to have some more of our people remember our dear departed ones at one of our daily Masses.  Our plans are to begin, if we have enough interested, the first Monday of December, the 6th, immediately after Mass. MR

Harvest Fall Fest…  Sunday, November 7, 2010, Fun starts at 5:00pm, Potluck at 6:00pm, arts and crafts featuring Church Family Crafters, raffle, games, food and fun for all.  Raffle proceeds go for items needed for Family Life Center. St. Peter Parish… The central and most important activity of our parish, since, we are a Eucharist worshiping people is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. However to give our people an opportunity to be involved we have the following activities very well supported. #1 Parish Family Christmas Supper, #2 Lenten Suppers, #3 Annual Blood Drive, #4 1st of month Mass of Healing and breakfast, #5 Kick-Off Breakfast for out entire Church Family in honor of our Bible School Children, #6 Knights of Columbus Installation Supper, #7 Annual Memorial Mass for our Knights of Columbus and Parishioners, #8 “why Catholic?” #9 Mass and discussion followed by supper for our young people, #10 Weekly Bible School Classes for K – 12.

Choose Life… Cells derived from the destruction of an embryonic human child will be used in tests on humans for the first time as a result of authorization from the Food and Drug Administration, according to a July 13 announcement. This decision ignores reported dangers of implanting such cells in humans, and the successful therapy for more then 70 diseases already accomplished with adult stem cells obtained without killing human embryos.
