Youth
We are
asking all of our young people grades 7th through 12th, with the
encouragement of their
Night
parents,
to make every effort to join us for a special presentation on the evils of drugs etc
On Wednesday April 21st at 5:30pm. We will be ever so grateful to have
Mike Calendar with us to give a presentation on this topic. We will serve hamburgers and hot dogs.
Easter Season
The best way to say Alleluia during the Easter Season is to join
us for daily Mass when possible.
RIP
Your
prayers are requested for the happy repose of the soul of Joyce Janiszewski who was laid
to rest this Saturday April 17th. May God Bless her husband Leonard and family
and May God give her eternal rest.
Alcoholics
Anonymous
The members
of Alcoholics Anonymous are again searching for a place to meet. In the desire to be good
neighbors they will use the traditionally known as the AA Room Monday and Saturday nights
at 7:30pm. We have emphasized no smoking in the interest of safety from a fire.
Congratulations
We
congratulate Don Tartt Jr., whos science project came first, in the state Science
Fair for all private schools in the state. Dons was a recycling project. And for all
his good work he received a $200.00 check, a plaque, a medallion and a ribbon. We
congratulate him and in short we can say he came home loaded down.
_____________QUOTES
1. Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the
ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do, when
it ought to be done, whether you like it or not; it is the first lesson that ought to be
learned; and however early a persons training begins, it is the last lesson that he
learns thoroughly. (Thomas
H. Huxley, 1825-1895, Biologist)
2. You never will be the person you can be if pressure,
tension and discipline are taken out of your life. (James G. Bilkey, Author)
We will be having a Blood Drive at St. Peters on Sunday, May 23rd
at 10:00am.
CHOOSE LIFE
Mississippi participants in the Susan
G. Komen Race for the Cure requested and received a refund after learning that the breast
cancer research group has made donations to the Planned Parenthood abortion business and
denies the abortion-breast cancer link. The Komen Foundation donated to Planned Parenthood
$711,485 in 2005-6 and at least $726,445 in 2006-7 with the number of affiliates making
donations rising from 19 to 25. (Steven Ertelt in online publication,
Life News, Nov. 2009)
