Healing Mass
Mass this coming Friday June 4th
is the First Friday of the Month. We are encouraging as many people as possible to
participate in this Mass of Healing, where we pray to God for health of mind, soul and
body. This Mass will be at 10:00am Friday morning. Hopefully our Knights of
Columbus will furnish a little breakfast so we can have time for fellowship and
conversation.
Sincere
I would like
to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to our people who
Gratitude
participated
in our blood drive this past weekend, by giving blood. It is a very special gift by which
we help to save lives, may God reward you for your goodness. MR
Results
We probably
came up short of a few donors necessary to
qualify our church family for blood for a year. So if you are planning to give blood
elsewhere would you mind doing so in the name of St. Peter Church, so that
all of the church family will receive blood on demand.
Thanks & God Bless
Thank you
for your generosity toward the offering for the victims of the recent tornados in our
state, and God Bless you, you gave $757.00.
IF
Please if
you cannot serve at a given Mass as Lector or Eucharist Minister, please call a
replacement or call the Rectory.
PLEASE REMEMBER TURN YOUR
CELLPHONE OFF WHILE IN CHURCH!
Thank you for you cooperation.
Quotes
.
1. There is a sense of exhilaration that comes from
facing head-on the hard truths and saying, We will never give up. We will never
capitulate. It might take a long time, but we will find a way to prevail. (Jim
Collins, from his book, Good to Great)
2. Any person capable of
angering you becomes your master; he can anger you only when you permit yourself to be
disturbed by him. (Epictetus
55-135 AD, Greek Philosopher)
Choose Life
Two days in American history that
will live in infamy are December 7, 1941 and September 11, 2001. Another infamous date in
which a war has launched, a war against the unborn is January 22, 1973. As we remember the
countless men and women who have given their lives to defend us, let us pledge again to
defend the right to life of the unborn and remember the more than 50 million nameless
children who have died since 1973.
Sick/Homebound/Hospitalized
If you have
anyone ill, homebound, or hospitalized please
contact the rectory so they can be added to our prayer list and Father Ruane can
visit and pray for them.
***Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturdays 5:30pm
