“1” Week
Early… Since I will not be here for the first
Friday in August we will have our Mass of Healing this Friday, July 30th at
10:00am. So
please join us to
participate in this Mass of Healing, where we pray to God for health of mind, soul and
body. This Mass will be at 10:00am Friday morning. Hopefully our Knights of Columbus will
furnish a little breakfast so we can have time for fellowship and conversation.
Visiting With Family… Fr.
Ruane leaves next Sunday afternoon to visit with family and
friends in Ireland. He asks for remembrance in your prayers while he is away and promises
to remember you in his daily Masses. IF… If for any reason you might want to call
Father while he is on vacation you can get his number in Ireland from Karla at the
Rectory.
During
August… While Father Ruane is away
unfortunately we will not be able to have daily Mass, the weekday services during the
month of August will be a Communion service. Monday, Wednesday
and Friday. Please avail of the opportunity to follow the Scripture for
these days at church and to receive the Lord in Holy Communion.
Father Camp… As you know it is getting more difficult to get a priest supply. So I am most
grateful that Fr. Camp is willing to take care of us during these next few weeks. MR
IF… For any reason you may need a priest for
an emergency while I am on vacation please call Fr. Al Camp at 601-951-3063 or call Fr.
Sam Messina at 662-563-2273.
Rite
Of Christian Initiation Of Adults…The R.C.I.A. will resume in the fall.
If you know of anyone interested in the R.C.I.A., or for more information, please call the
Rectory at 662-226-2490. This is primarily for people who are interested in the Catholic
Faith. They will find these gatherings very enjoyable and interesting and the decision to
embrace the Catholic Faith is always made by the person participating.
Bible School… We are grateful to our church family members
who are willing to teach our children in bible school this coming year.

Choose Life… “In 1857, the U.S. Supreme Court
looked at the slave, Dred Scott, and came up with the wrong decision, declaring the slave
as “property” and not a “citizen”… The slaves life was still
protected. In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court got it wrong again and handed down decisions on
abortion which declared “open season” on unborn children throughout the full
nine months of pregnancy…. Most people have not noticed that the population descended
from U.S. African slaves, comprising around 12% of the population, make up about 35% of
the abortion population. [Since1973, more than 14 million unborn black children have died

In And Out”… Summer time
is often a time of transitions for families. We want to say farewell to any people who may
be leaving and thank you for your participation in our parish. We also wish to welcome any
new individuals or families at St. Peter Parish and we invite you to make yourself known
to us and to register with the parish. Parish registration forms are available in the
