Graduation … We will have a breakfast after Mass this morning, May 6, 2012, to honor our high school graduates and they are; Albert Salinas, Jeremy Mumme, Reid Walker, Chace Holland, Paul Liberto Adam Palazzolo, Meghan Wagner and  Cassie Bennett. Please, please, if we have omitted anybody we are sorry, and please give Donna Mumme 662-897-2201or Fr. Ruane 226-2490 a call. We are sorry we have omitted Meghan Wagner who is graduating from the Math and Science School in Columbus.

 

Congratulations… to our college graduates; Cory Geiger - Mississippi State,  Rebecca Fuller - University of Mississippi, Ellen Thomas - University of Mississippi, and Beth Logan – Holmes Community College. Let us know if we have omitted anybody, we would like to recognize everybody who has reached this important goal.  

 

“First Communion”   We Rejoice with our children who will receive the Lord for the first time in Holy Communion this Mother’s Day [what a nice gift to their mother’s] we will also honor, all of the mother’s with a special breakfast after Mass this Mother’s Day. The children making their First Communion are: Abigail Griffin, Alexxis Cook, Caydence Trost and Yesenia Gary.     

 

Sharing Your Blessings … This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, is when we take up the collection for the Catholic Service Appeal. We are hoping that all of our people will participate.  Many will not be able to give a large amount in one offering but may be able to pledge a reasonable amount each month. As your priest, I feel strongly about this offering and a big portion is given for the protection of life. An envelope for this purpose is in the vestibule. You can also go online to www.jacksondiocese.org to learn more about the Catholic Service Appeal or to make an on line donation.

 

The Knights of Columbus… will be meeting today, Sunday May 6^th, right after the Mass.

 

Please… If you should happen to be moving out of our parish, please let us know, and if you are new in our parish we would be so grateful if you would register so we can keep our records straight. Thank You

 

May Crowning … We will have May Crowning on May 20^th, the crown to be placed by the 1^st Communion children.

Please Remember... to check thermostats, lights, doors, and clean up when leaving our buildings. We have received some high utility bills for the Family Life Center, please turn things off, check thermostats and lights, etc.
