Happy Father’s DayIn anticipation of Fathers Day, I would like to wish all fathers, grandfathers, etc… a very happy, peaceful and blessed Father’s Day. We hear much about neglectful fathers but we rarely hear anything about good fathers and there are so many of them too. We will honor our fathers on this Father’s Day, June 19th, with a special recognition and prayer. God Bless you all.

Mini – Summer Bible School   We are hoping and praying that, all of our little one’s through last year’s 6th grade will join us for our Mini Summer Bible School tomorrow, Monday June 18th and 19th, beginning with Mass at 9:00am both days and to end  with pizza at 11:30am and to be on their way home at 12:00 noon.

Sincere Gratitude   Sincere gratitude to those who came to give blood, you are to be commended for this very sincere act of kindness to help our brothers and sisters. If there were any complaints please call us at 226-2490.

Sincere Thanks  Eddie and Martha Merriman send their sincere gratitude to Father Ruane and Saint Peter’s church family for prayers and thoughtfulness while Eddie was in the hospital.

Rest In Peace Your prayers are requested for the happy repose of the soul of Leonard Janiszewski’s son whom died suddenly recently, May God Bless his dad (Leonard) and his family at this time.

Sharing Your Blessings I join Bishop Latino in thanking all of those who made a commitment or a pledge to out Catholic Sharing Appeal. If you have not had an opportunity to make some form of commitment it is not too late. MR

Words of Wisdom………………………………………………………………….

1.    “Is there anything worse than being blind? Yes, a man with sight and no vision.” (Helen Keller)

*Sacrament of Reconciliation, Saturdays 5:15pm – 5:45pm**and by appointment*

Choose Life As we enter ever more fully into the “brave new world” of creating the children of our choosing, we need to look at the consequences of these actions: “The pricey manufacture of ‘custom kids’ [by genetic enhancement] would in fact under mind the value and dignity of human life by reducing these children to customized products like cars or computers. Rather than surprise and appreciation for the uniqueness and mystery of each individual, custom made children would be judged by how they conform to preset specifications. (Marilyn Coors, Ph.D., Respect Life Program, 2005-6)

Daily Mass  Now that school is out and there is a little more leisure time, there is no better up bringing for our children then to take them to Mass from time to time and explain its benefits.

Please If you should happen to be moving out of our parish, please, let us know and if you are new in our parish we would be so grateful if you would register so we can keep our records straight. Thank You
