Welcome… A special welcome and thank you to Father Al Camp who will fill in for Fr. Ruane this month while he is on vacation and I know we will all make him feel welcomed and listen to his words of wisdom.

 

The Assumption Of The Blessed Virgin Mary… IS A HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION, THIS COMING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST THE 15^th FATHER CAMP WILL SAY MASS AT 6:00PM.

[No Communion Service at 8:00am]

Visiting With Family … For the month of August Fr. Ruane will be with his family and friends in Ireland and he asks for remembrance in your prayers while he is away and promises to remember you in his daily Masses, now, if for any reason you might want to call Father while he is on vacation you can get his number in Ireland from Karla at the Rectory, Monday, Wednesday or Friday 8:30am till noon.

 

During the Month of August…  while Father Ruane is away unfortunately we will not be able to have daily Mass, the weekday services during the month of August will be a Communion service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please avail of the opportunity to follow the Scripture for these days at church and to receive the Lord in Holy Communion.

Choose Life…  Scripture makes clear the challenge before us in deciding our role in the right to life debate. Jesus says, “Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.” (Matthew 25:46) If we do nothing for the protection of the unborn, surely the least among us, then we do nothing for Jesus.” (Culture of Life Family Services Newsletter, 11/07)   

 

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults… We are again asking anybody who will be interested in the Catholic Faith or if you know anybody who is interested please call the Rectory. We will be beginning our next R.C.I.A. class in late September.

 

 “Moving In And Out”… Summer time is often a time of transitions for families. We want to say farewell to any people who may be leaving and thank you for your participation in our parish. We also wish to welcome any new individuals or families at St. Peter Parish and we invite you to make yourself known to us and to register with the parish. Parish registration forms are available in the vestibule, or call the Parish Office at 662-226-2490.
