Red Beans and Rice… Our Church Family is invited to participate in a red beans and rice supper on

Tuesday evening, February 21st, after the 6:00pm Mass and before Ash Wednesday. This is traditionally known as Fat Tuesday, to eat all you want and all you can before the Holy Season of Lent begins. The Knights will prepare the red beans and rice, the church family is to bring salad or desert whichever you wish. (If you want to fix a

Pancake, I’ll bet Fr. Ruane gets to it first.)

Lent… The Lenten announcement will be in next weeks, bulletin.

EUCHARIST MINISTERS… WE HAVE ADDED SEVERAL NEW EUCHARIST MINISTERS RECENTLY AND THEY WILL BE SERVING AS THEY ARE ASSIGNED. THIS IS THE MOST SPECIAL MINISTRY OF OUR CATHOLIC FAITH. WE ARE ASKING EVERYBODY TO BE FAITHFUL WHEN THEY ARE ASSIGNED AND WHEN UNABLE TO SERVE TO FIND A REPLACEMENT.

Choose Life … One long ago day at a Washington, D.C. Prayer Breakfast, a tiny nun proclaimed these words to those in high positions of power: “if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?” On that day, Mother Teresa of Calcutta captured the essence of love---respect for all human life.
