Way of The Cross…  We will have ‘The Way of the Cross,’ Scripture reading, and a short meditation followed by Holy Communion and a light supper, on Friday’s through Lent. Services will begin at 6:15pm SHARP.

 

Healing Mass… Mass this coming Friday March 2^nd is the First Friday of the Month. We are encouraging as many people as possible to participate in this Mass of Healing, where we pray to God for health of mind, soul and body. This Mass will be at 10:00am Friday morning. Hopefully our Knights of Columbus will furnish a little breakfast so we can have time for fellowship and conversation. 

 

Lent At St. Peter Church… Let us all make a special effort to make Lent a special time in Our Church.

Here are some suggestions:                             4. A good confession by participating              6. A kinder, gentler people

1. Daily Mass when possible.                              in our Penance Service.                                7. Less negative gossip. 

2. Participating in “Why Catholic?”                5. Prayer when possible in the home                8. More kindness , compassion, 

3. Participating in the Mass of Healing.               with the family.                                               and affirmation.

 

R.C.I.A…The RCIA will miss this Tuesday evening at 6:30pm SHARP, a short review of Holy Orders the Sacrament of Anointing and Anointing. It is important that all of our group be present.

 

Lent At…  During the Holy Season of Lent we will have in addition to our regular daily Mass schedule, The Way of the

St. Peter… Cross, Holy Communion, and a short meditation followed by a light supper, probably soup, salad & fellowship.

 

“Why Catholic?”… We are hoping that all of these facilitators will be able to serve, our “Why Catholic?” facilitators for the last session were:

Irene Stark – Tuesday Evening at 6:30pm, right after the 6:00pm Mass her number is 417-0968.

Lee Munstenteiger – Wednesday Morning at 8:30am, right after the 8:00am Mass his number is 417-7948.

Mike Liberto – Wednesday evening at 6:00pm his number is 226-7936. 

Gerry Morris – Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm her number is 417-1160.

John Portis – Sunday Morning, right after Sunday Morning Mass his number is 227-2708.

David Livingston – Sunday Afternoon at 5:00pm, His number is 226-7753.

We are using the same text on “PRAYER” [The purple book] and we encourage you to start quam celerime.

 

Important…  The facilitator is a very important part of the success of “Why Catholic?” Preparation is very important, so we thank our facilitators for a job well done in the past and hope that our next session of “Why Catholic?” will be the best yet. Please call or e-mail the members of your before each session.

Not Too Late… We are extending a very sincere invitation to anybody who might like to join us for this final session on “PRAYER” it should be very well worthwhile.

 

Congratulations…  We congratulate Philip Bishop and Sherry Bennett who were married at St. Peter, February 8^th. May God Bless this couple and give them many years of married bliss. 

 

Speaking Engagement … has been invited to be the guest speaker at The First Methodist Church March 28^th at 11:30am and the First Presbyterian Church on Monday April 2^nd at noon. Our people are encouraged to participate, if not too busy, as a form of support.

 

Advanced Reminder… Our Lenten Penance Service is set for March 6^th. We are asking everybody to mark that date so that we can use this special Sacrament as a preparation for the beautiful events for Holy Week and Easter.

Choose Life … A federal judge has upheld a South Dakota law requiring doctors to inform the patients that abortion kills a human being. The law mandates that a woman be told that abortion “will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being.” Planned Parenthood had sought to overturn the law.

Please Remember... to check thermostats, lights, doors, and clean up when leaving our buildings. We have received some high utility bills for the Family Life Center, please turn things off, check thermostats and lights, etc.
