Special Meeting Father Ruane would like to meet with, all of our, young people 6th to 12th grade, THIS SUNDAY, (Palm Sunday) at 6:00pm with Special Emphasis on Our Young People in the 12th grade. He will talk to them about different topics, give them an opportunity to talk to him about whatever, and then we would like to finish with hamburgers and hot dogs. This gathering will only be a success if all of our parents cooperate.

Sharing Your Blessings The Annual Catholic Service Appeal, “Sharing Your Blessings,” supports many central ministries that help provide the spiritual, educational and social needs of many within out diocese. Bishop Latino is asking each parishioner to prayerfully consider your gift to the Catholic Service Appeal. Joined together as a faith family we can accomplish so much for our diocese. Please go online to www.jacksondiocese.org to learn more about the Catholic Service Appeal or to make an on line donation.

Speaking Engagement Fr. Ruane speaks at the First Presbyterian Church this Monday April 2nd, at noon. Our people are encouraged to participate, if not too busy, as a form of support.

Good Friday We are reminded that this Friday, GOOD FRIDAY, is a day of Fast and Abstinence, one full meal, two snacks and no meat.

Holy Land Collection A special collection will be taken up on Good Friday for the support of the Church’s work in the Holy Land. During this time of turmoil the plight and suffering of Palestinian Christians has become desperate. Our support of the work of the Church in the Holy Lands is even more important than ever.

Congratulations We congratulate and are very happy to receive, Robert Brandon Browning, Dianne Elliot Marascalco and Cynthia Mercado Gary into full communion of our Catholic Faith through the Sacraments of Anointment, Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation on Holy Saturday Night.

RIPYour prayers are requested for the happy repose of the soul of Glenn Smith’s DAD, whom the Lord called home this past week. May he rest in peace and may God Bless his family and friends.

Congratulations to the newest member of our parish, Jude Michael Liberto, born on March 28th 2012.

A Happy for the Children We have planned an extra Happy for our children. We began this a few years ago and it seemed to be tremendously popular. In place of an Easter Egg Hunt we will be inviting all of our children and their parents to gather in front of the Church on Easter morning after Mass. Among our surprises will be a show of love for our children and their Bible School Teachers.

Annual Retreat Fr. Ruane will be joining several of the priests and Bishop Latino for our Annual Priests Retreat beginning Monday April 9th thru Friday April 13th. The Retreat will be at St. Mary of the Pines in Chatawa. If there is any emergency during this time please call Karla at the Rectory, Monday, Wednesday or Friday till 12:00 noon or call her cell 417-2333.

Choose Life Every child with Down syndrome, every adult with special needs, in fact every unwanted, unborn child, every person who is poor, weak, abandoned or homeless---each one of these persons is an icon of God’s face and a vessel of His love.” (Archbishop Charles J. Chaput of Denver, Oct 16 speech to Phoenix Catholic Physicians’ Guild)
