“First Communion”   We Rejoice with our children who will receive the Lord for the first time in Holy Communion this Mother’s Day [what a nice gift to their mother’s] we will also honor, all of the mother’s with a special breakfast after Mass this Mother’s Day. The children making their First Communion are: Abigail Griffin, Alexxis Cook, Caydence Trost and Yesenia Gary. 

 

Mother’s Day … We ask God’s Blessings on that special lady we call mother, inspired by the love that our Blessed Mother had for the Lord. It is our privilege and our obligation to respect our mothers, not only on Mother’s Day but every day. We will honor our mother’s at St. Peter’s by offering a special Mass for their intentions followed by a special breakfast, Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Mother’s and Grandmother’s.

 

Special … I know there are many variations, kinds and shapes of Mother’s Day gifts in the form of flowers, clothes, diamonds, etc… but our most beautiful gift is the gift of the Holy Eucharist. For this reason I am offering both Masses this weekend at St. Peter for all, of our Mother’s.      

 

Congratulations… to our college graduates; Cory Geiger - Mississippi State,  Rebecca Fuller - University of Mississippi, Ellen Thomas - University of Mississippi, and Beth Logan – Holmes Community College – and Nicholas Palozzolo. Hopefully they can join us so we can recognize them at the Mass next Sunday and Father Ruane will take them out for a bite to eat when we can get them organized. Let us know if we have omitted anybody, we would like to recognize everybody who has reached this important goal. 

 

May Crowning … We will have May Crowning on May 20^th, the crown to be placed by the 1^st Communion children.
