Happy 4^th … We wish everybody a happy, peaceful and safe 4^th of July. We pray especially for those traveling on the highways and by plane for a safe journey visiting friends and family and a safe return home. MR

*NOTE* Mass this Wednesday will be at 9:00am for the 4^th of July.

 

Healing Mass… Mass this coming Friday July 6^th is the First Friday of the Month. We are encouraging as many people as possible to participate in this Mass of Healing, where we pray to God for health of mind, soul and body. This Mass will be at 10:00am Friday morning. Hopefully our Knights of Columbus will furnish a little breakfast so we can have time for fellowship and conversation.

 

    Fort          We are emphasizing the importance of these two very important weeks set aside by the Catholic

Night For     Church June the 21^st through July 4^th when catholic’s can pray, read and reflect on the importance

 Freedom      of religious freedom.  We urge all of our people to pray for the satisfactory solution of this cause

Gospel to every corner of society. We ask you to bless us in           so that, with every trial withstood and danger overcome-for  

our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty. Give us the                the sake of our children, our grandchildren, and all who

strength of mind and heart to readily defend our freedoms            come after us—this great land will always be “one Nation,

Church Support … Sincere gratitude to those who support our church generously and faithfully however, our sacrificial offering has been a little off lately and I am asking everybody to do their fair share so that we can meet our responsibilities. Also, again please be careful when using utilities, our air conditioning for the family life center last month was $575.00.     

 

Congratulations…   to Jeran Guilambo on graduating from Holmes College, Grenada, MS. The pinning ceremony took place on Friday June 29^th at Corey Forum.  

 

Diocese Of Jackson 175^th Anniversary … in celebration of the diocese’s 175^th Anniversary a special t-shirt with the 175^th diocesan logo and the diocesan coat of arms has been designed and can be ordered by going to the diocesan web page www.jacksondiocese.org or by calling the Dept of Evangelization at 601-960-8474. The cast is $15.00 each.

“Moving In And Out”… Summer time is often a time of transitions for families. We want to say farewell to any people who may be leaving and thank you for your participation in our parish. We also wish to welcome any new individuals or families at St. Peter Parish and we invite you to make yourself known to us and to register with the parish. Please Remember... to check thermostats, lights, doors, and clean up when leaving our buildings. We have received some high utility bills for the Family Life Center, please turn things off, check thermostats and lights, etc.
