Congratulations …  We congratulate Christopher and Magen Hoop who’s infant son Ethan Christopher will be reborn in the water’s of baptism this Saturday evening, July the 14^th at the 6:00pm Mass. May God Bless this entire family on this happy occasion.

 

Welcome …We welcome Father Michael Marascalco who was recently ordained for the diocese of Biloxi. He has many cousins and relatives in this community and I am told that some of his family has lived here at one time. 

 

Sincere Gratitude … I am most grateful to the Knights of Columbus for their willingness to have breakfast and refreshments after the 9:00 Mass this Sunday morning and give Father Marascalco a chance to visit. Fr. Ruane  

 

Diocese Of Jackson 175^th Anniversary … in celebration of the diocese’s 175^th Anniversary a special t-shirt with the 175^th diocesan logo and the diocesan coat of arms has been designed and can be ordered by going to the diocesan web page www.jacksondiocese.org or by calling the Dept of Evangelization at 601-960-8474. The cast is $15.00 each.

 

Legacy Hospice…  Lily Culp thanks Fr. Ruane and the parishioners from our Healing Mass for their kindness and the gift of money given to her.

 

Choose Life…  A 2008 federal law will give new or expectant parents the latest information about Down syndrome or other Disabilities, give referrals to support services, and help create a national registry to connect parents with Down Syndrome children. A measure of how necessary this law is, lies in the statistic that 90% of parents who are told their unborn child has Down syndrome choose to abort the child.  (NRL News, 2/09)

 

“Moving In And Out”… Summer time is often a time of transitions for families. We want to say farewell to any people who may be leaving and thank you for your participation in our parish. We also wish to welcome any new individuals or families at St. Peter Parish and we invite you to make yourself known to us and to register with the parish. Parish registration forms are available in the vestibule, or call the Parish Office at 662-226-2490.    

 

 

Sick or In The Hospital … Just a friendly reminder because of the Hospital confidentiality requirement, if anybody you know from our church family please let us know so we can be sure to visit them.

 

Please Remember... to check thermostats, lights, doors, and clean up when leaving our buildings. We have received some high utility bills for the Family Life Center, please turn things off, check thermostats and lights, etc.
