Quotes…………………………………………………………………………………………

1 “Failure is blindness to the strategic element in events; success is readiness for instant action when the opportune moment arrives.”  (Newell D. Hillis)   2. “So often we dwell on the things that seem impossible rather than on the things that are possible. So often we are depressed by what remains to be done and forget to be thankful for all that has been done.”   (Marian Wright Edelman, Activist for the rights of children)      3. “Every man's work, whether it be literature or music or pictures or architecture or anything else, is always a portrait of himself.”   (Samuel Butler (1835-1902) English Writer)    4. Blessed is the person who sees the need, recognizes the responsibility, and actively becomes the answer.”   (William Arthur Ward)     5. “The difference in winning and losing is most often... not quitting.”  (Walt Disney, 1901-1966, Animator and Film Producer)     6. “Nothing is more endangered in the modern world than the powerful combination of hard work toward meaningful goals joined with an exuberant embrace of the present moment.    (Tom Morris)     7.  “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”    (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

 8. “Just as a small fire is extinguished by the storm whereas a large fire is enhanced by it - likewise a weak faith is weakened by predicament and catastrophes whereas a strong faith is strengthened by them.”  (Viktor E. Frankl, 1905-1997, Holocaust Survivor and Author of Man's Search for Meaning)

Choose Life  “The life issues (abortion, euthanasia, embryonic cell research) put us in touch with

one aspect of humanity: They show what we are capable of when we lose our moorings, when we are not

guided by clear thinking on right and wrong.” (Richard Doerflinger, associate director or the U.S. Bishops’ Secretariat for Pro-Life Activities)
