Night For   Church June the 21st through July 4th when catholic’s can pray, read and reflect on the importance

Freedom    of religious freedom.  We urge all of our people to pray for the satisfactory solution of this cause

O God our creator, through the power and working of           Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father, a clear and

your Holy Spirit, you call us to live out our faith in the         united voice to all your sons and daughters

midst of the world, bringing the light and the saving              gathered in your Church in this decisive hour in

truth of the Gospel to every corner of society. We ask             the history of our nation, so that, with every trial you to bless us in our vigilance for the gift of religious           withstood and danger overcome-for the sake of our

liberty. Give us the strength of mind and heart to readily       children, our grandchildren, and all who come

defend our freedoms when they are threatened; Give us         after us—this great land will always be “one

courage in making our voices heard on behalf of the              Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and

rights of your Church and the freedom of conscience of         justice for all”

all people of faith.                                                                      We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN

Sincere Gratitude   Sincere gratitude to the parents and children who participated in our Mini Summer Bible School of Religion, I was very impressed at the goodness of our children but a little disappointed at their lack of knowledge of their Catholic Faith. I wish all of our children could be there and beg our parents to work with them at home.

Choose Life What have we done to our children by legalizing abortion and championing it? The daily abortion stories, polls, editorials, and stories showing how the “abortion rights” movement is faring—all this has drummed into our children’s heads the idea that human life is not special, is not sanctified, is not a life formed by God but a fertilized ovum that makes demands and can be removed. (Peggy Noonan, “Abortion’s Children,  New York Times, 1/22/98)

Daily Mass  Now that school is out and there is a little more leisure time, there is no better up bringing for our children then to take them to Mass from time to time and explain its benefits.

Please If you should happen to be moving out of our parish, please, let us know and if you are new in our parish we would be so grateful if you would register so we can keep our records straight. Thank You
