Healing
Mass
Mass this coming Friday April 1st
is the First Friday of the Month. We are encouraging as many people as
possible to participate in this Mass of Healing, where we pray to God for health of mind,
soul and body. This Mass will be at 10:00am Friday morning. Hopefully our Knights of
Columbus will furnish a little breakfast so we can have time for fellowship and
conversation.
Way of The
Cross
We will have The Way Of The Cross, Scripture reading, and a short meditation
followed by Holy Communion and a light supper, on Fridays through Lent. Services
will begin at 6:15pm SHARP.
Right after, in our
St. James
Epistle
Penance Service
[Confession]
Confess therefore your sins to one
another and pray
Our Lenten Penance Service is set for Tuesday, April 5th at 6:00pm
for one
another that you may be saved. James 5:16
please try to keep this date open for this very important gathering.
Sincere Gratitude
to Fr. Mike OBrien, Fr. Gerard
Hurley, Fr. Pat Noonan and Fr. Sam Messina who will join Fr. Ruane for a very, very
important Reconciliation Service [Confession] on Tuesday, April 5th at 6:00pm.
R.C.I.A
The RCIA will meet this Tuesday March
29th right after the 6:00pm Mass.
April the 13th
We will have a retreat for our
confirmandi on April 13th. Our young people are asked to come directly from
school to St. Peters. We will have a hamburger supper for them, their sponsors and
parents at approximately 6:00pm.
Congratulations
to William and Heather the parents of
Landre Anderson, who was reborn in the Waters of Baptism last Saturday, March 19, 2011.
May God Bless this family.

and affirmation.
Community Garden
The Grenada Vistas, Gerry Morris
and Jan Willis are planning a community garden, which will be located behind the
Cab and St. Peters. It is designed for 10 plots and the purpose of this
garden is to provide an area for individuals, families, or groups who may not have land to
grow fresh food but desire to do so for themselves, the poor, the elderly, or the soup
kitchen.
Speaking Engagement
Fr. Ruane has been asked to speak to
the young people at The First Methodist Church March 29th at 7:00am, the adult
group Wednesday March 30th at 12:00pm, and then at the 1st
Presbyterian Church on Monday of Holy Week.
Choose Life
As the Obama administration approved the
first human embryonic stem cells for experiments by federally-funded scientists,
pro-lifers argued that aside from the research being unethical, it is also unnecessary
because of the availability of adult stem cells and other more recently identified
alternatives. (San Diego Union Tribune, 12/3/09)
