Blessed Sacrament Adoration
Please join us for Mass if possible
Wednesday morning and join us afterwards also as we spend a special hour in Adoration of
the Blessed Sacrament, thanking the Lord for his blessings, talking to him about our needs
and the needs of those who have asked us to remember them in prayer.
Special Breakfast
We will have a special breakfast this
Sunday after our 9:00am Mass to show our support and our love
for our young people in bible school. We would like as many of our parishioners as
possible to participate in this breakfast, for a happy and enjoyable time together, as one
big family.
Bible School
Instructions in our Catholic Faith,
is one of the more important elements of any Church Family. We are hoping and praying that
all of our children, little ones through 12th grade, through the efforts of
their parents, will participate in our bible school classes each Sunday morning, beginning
at 10:15am for one hour. Registration
will be after the Masses this Saturday & Sunday.
Are You Someone Or Do You Know Someone Who
has
expressed an interest in becoming Catholic? Has a child over the age of seven who has not
been baptized? Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of
Eucharist and Confirmation? Please call me, or the Rectory at 226-2490.
RIP
Prayers are required for the happy repose of the soul of Kenney Marascalco
whom the Lord called home last week. May God Bless his wife, family and friends.
Table Clothes
I have been asked more than once to
remind the person or persons who take our Family Life Center table clothes to the cleaners
to please pick them up also.
Changes In The Mass
What
differences can we expect in November? From the first Sunday of Advent congregations and
priests will use the texts of the Third Edition of the Roman Missal for the celebration of
Mass. While the structure, actions and pattern of the Mass will remain the same and the
reading will be unchanged, the texts of recited prayers will sound different in our ears.
Over time, as the new style of language becomes familiar to us it is very much hoped that We will come to appreciate both the
richness and depth of our prayer at Mass.
Bulletin Announcements
The deadline for announcements will be
on Thursday at noon. Please contact the rectory at 226-2490,
or send an email to stpeter@cableone.net.
Choose Life
The life issues (abortion,
euthanasia, embryonic cell research) put us in touch with one aspect of humanity: They
show what we are capable of when we lose our moorings, when we are not guided by clear
thinking on right and wrong. (Richard Doerflinger,
associate director or the U.S. Bishops Secretariat for Pro-Life Activities)
