RIP… Please remember in your prayers the happy repose of the soul of Father John Vollor, the pastor at St. Elizabeth Church in Clarksdale, who died rather unexpectedly this past week, may he rest in peace.

R.C.I.A… The RCIA will start back this Tuesday January 18, 2011. We encourage those who have been participating, and anybody else who might be interested, to please join us each Tuesday evening after the 6:00pm Mass.

World Marriage Day… is Sunday, February 12, 2011. Couples celebrating their 25th, 50th, or 60th wedding anniversary in 2010, please call the Rectory at 662-226-2490, so that you can be included in a special Mass and celebration with the Bishop at St. Peter’s Cathedral on World Marriage Day.                                                                               

 

Choose Life… a new report in a prestigious medical journal (American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology) confirms what previous studies have shown: abortion is associated with an increased risk of premature birth in subsequent pregnancies. Although the link is well-established, women are not normally informed of the risk when they are counseled at abortion centers.  (Life News)

Please Remember... to check thermostats, lights, doors, and clean up when leaving our buildings. We have received some high utility bills for the Family Life Center, please turn things off, check thermostats and lights, etc.   

 

IF… Please if you cannot serve at a given Mass as Lector or Eucharist Minister, please call a replacement or call the Rectory. These are special ministries and a replacement should be found, if you cannot serve.
