Healing Mass
Mass this coming Friday
October 7th is the First Friday of the Month. We are encouraging as many people
as possible to participate in this Mass of Healing, where we pray to God for health of
mind, soul and body. This Mass will be at 10:00am Friday morning. Hopefully our Knights of
Columbus will furnish a little breakfast so we can have time for fellowship and
conversation.
Adoration Of The Blessed Sacrament
Please join us if at all
possible this Wednesday October 5th for Mass at 8:00am and we will have
Adoration immediately after Mass for [one] hour. This will be an opportunity to sit and
visit with Jesus, listen to him, thank him for our blessings and talk to him about our
needs.
Changes In The Mass
There
will be slight changes in the new translation of I Confess, Glory to God in the
Highest, The Creeds, The Acclamations, and The Eucharistic Prayers; LORD I AM NOT WORTHY,
and a number of other prayers and responses. However one of the most obvious changes
will be where the congregation responded and also with you but we will now say
and with your spirit which is the literal translation from the Latin. The
clergy will face a much bigger adjustment than the congregation.
Rite Of
Christian Initiation Of Adults
We
are again asking anybody who will be interested in the Catholic Faith or if you know
anybody who is interested please call the Rectory. We will be beginning our next R.C.I.A.
class soon.
Are You Someone Or Do You Know Someone Who
has
expressed an interest in becoming Catholic? Has a child over the age of seven who has not
been baptized? Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of
Eucharist and Confirmation? Please call me, or the Rectory at
226-2490.

Choose Life
Abortion has become a
personal and social eraser of choice for our unwanted, ill-timed, and
defective off-spring. With mainstream mental professional
associations
advising that abortion is psychologically safe, women and men have
embraced abortion as a stress reliever. Yet the evidence is mounting that abortion carries
serious and significant mental health risks.
