Christmas Family Supper… We hope that all of our church family will try to be with us this December 11^th for our Annual Parish Family Christmas Supper. We’ve had a wonderful time these past few years and we hope it will be even better this coming year. Our supper will consist of a covered dish the meat for the supper will be furnished by our parish. We are expecting the Catholic Santa to show up and we will sing our Christmas Carols together in Honor of our Savior and to get into the Christmas spirit for our adults and children.

 

 Penance Service…  This is a wonderful opportunity for us to change gears and think of something special that we can give the Lord for His birthday. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a wonderful gift from God and our using of it to receive His grace and forgiveness is our special gift to him. Our church Penance Service will be on Dec. 13, at 6:00pm. We are most grateful to Fr. Messina, Fr. Noonan, Fr. Hurley, Fr. O’Brian and yours truly Fr. Ruane. Hope to see you all this Tuesday evening.      

 

Angel Tree… We have names of children and seniors who are in need of a Special Christmas Gift on our Angel Tree. Please feel free to take an angel from the Angel Tree and purchase that child’s wish or need. Wrap it and place the Angel on the gift and return it under the tree no later than December 18^th.  Thank you, for your heartfelt generosity.

 

Welcome New Members…  We would like to extend a very sincere welcome to our newest Parish Family Members. If you have come to St. Peter’s in the last year or two please give your name to Karla or Fr. Ruane or just call us at the Rectory 662-226-2490. We would like to give you a special welcome at our Christmas Supper.   

                                

R. C. I. A.… The RCIA will not meet this Tuesday evening, but will reconvene December 20^th, after the 6:00pm Mass.  Topic: Reconciliation (Confession)

 

Carmelite Monastery… Consider supporting the Carmelite Nuns in Jackson, they have a wide range of Christmas gifts, which would make a suitable gift for children or adults and they would greatly appreciate our help. 

 

Choose Life… The Christmas storytellers, Matthew and Luke begin with Jesus’ conception. When Matthew sets out to tell us about the Nativity, he first talks of events taking place during the pregnancy. Luke gives us even more details of the pregnancy. The message?
