Pave
the Way
What we have has been entrusted to us
by God. It is not ours. We only have it for a short period of time. God wants a return on
our talents, our abilities, our treasures. Let your support for the annual Catholic
Service Appeal, Pave the Way, and be a thought-out conscientious, responsible
decision. Let it be a response in faith.
God is able to make every grace
abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need,
you may have an abundance for every good work. (2
Corinthians 9:8). Please go online to www.jacksondiocese.org to learn more about the
Catholic Service Appeal or to make an on line donation. The offering will be taken up the
weekend of April 30th and May 1st.
Comforting
It was comforting to see as many of our
people to make a genuine effort to make a good confession at our Lenten Penance Service.
We had a good response from our people but I think that our response will grow when we
become more aware of the beauty and need of this Sacrament in all of our lives.
Why
Catholic?
Sincere gratitude and Gods Blessings on our facilitators
and all who participated in the last session of Why Catholic? I
think to a person everybody will say that it was rewarding and time well spent.

Confirmation Retreat April 13th
We will have a retreat for our
confirmandi on April 13th. Our young people are asked to come directly from
school to St. Peters. Our young people are asked to make every genuine effort
to be here at St. Peters no later than 3:30pm. We will have a hamburger
supper for them, their sponsors and parents at approximately 6:00pm.
Help Needed
We need some help for our participation
in the Holy Week Service at the First Presbyterian Church on Monday the 18th.
The help is needed from 10:00am to 1:30pm. We also need 2 cakes and the services are at
noon. Father Ruane will be participating and please offer to help and call Gerry Morris at
417-1106 for more details.
Holy
Week
We will have a special insert in next
weeks bulletin describing the Services of Holy Week.
Choose Life
I just want the truth to be
told: that abortion does hurt women. They tell you that it doesnt, [that] its
a simple procedure and that you can get on with your life. Well, you do momentarily, but
you spend your whole life trying to forget it. (Leslie Brunolli, abortion
survivor/participant in the Silent No More Awareness Campaign: The Southern Cross, Nov.
2009)
