Adoration Of The Blessed Sacrament Please join us if at all possible this Monday June 6th for Mass at 8:00am and we will have Adoration immediately after Mass for [one] hour. This will be an opportunity to sit and visit with Jesus, listen to him, thank him for our blessings and talk to him about our needs.

IF Please if you cannot serve at a given Mass as Lector or Eucharist Minister, please call a replacement or call the Rectory. These are special ministries and a replacement should be found, if you cannot serve.

June 10thNO MASS, Father Ruane will be attending the 50th anniversary of two of our priests, on Thursday evening and Friday June 10th.

Hot & Cold Some people like it hot in church or at home, some people like it cool or cold. So lets all try to be reasonable and make it as comfortable as possible for everybody. We will set the thermostat at 70 degrees.

Moving In And Out”… Summer time is often a time of transitions for families. We want to say farewell to any people who may be leaving and thank you for your participation in our parish. We also wish to welcome any new individuals or families at St. Peter Parish and we invite you to make yourself known to us and to register with the parish. Parish registration forms are available in the vestibule, or call the Parish Office at 662-226-2490.

Daily Now that school is out and there is a little more leisure time, there is no better up bringing for

Mass our children then to take them to Mass from time to time and explain its benefits.

Choose Life   The argument for legalizing physician-assisted suicide rests on a false premise: Everyone knows that suffering from advanced disease is inevitable; therefore everyone should have the right to kill themselves, so as to avoid unbearable suffering. This is simply not true. What “everyone knows” is false. Our ability to relieve suffering and improve quality of life has never been more powerful.  (Dr. Charles F. Von Gunten, San Diego Union Tribune, 5/3/09)

Quotes………………………………………………………………………..……

2. “Man often becomes what he believes himself to be, if I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end, by really becoming incapable of doing it, on the contrary, if I shall have the belief that I can do it. I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it, even if I may not have it at the beginning.”  (Mahatma Gandhi, 1869-1948, Indian Nationalist Leader)
