Healing Mass Mass this coming Friday July 1st is the First Friday of the Month. We are encouraging as many people as possible to participate in this Mass of Healing, where we pray to God for health of mind, soul and body. This Mass will be at 10:00am Friday morning. Hopefully our Knights of Columbus will furnish a little breakfast so we can have time for fellowship and conversation.

Mini - Summer Bible SchoolWe will have a short bible school this Monday and Tuesday June 27th and 28th. On both of these days we will begin Mass at 9:00am. Father will speak to the children immediately after Mass at 9:30am for ½ hour followed by class and a pizza party. These gatherings will be for children grades 1 thru 6 & 7. The topics will be primarily common dictionary of words and phrases frequently used in our Catholic Faith. I am very hopeful that all of our children in these grades will be with us on these days.

Note*** Masses on Monday and Tuesday will be at 9:00am, we encourage the parents to come to Mass with their children.

Aged & Infirm PriestsI know some of you make an offering from time to time for this cause but we are trying July 10th as the weekend on which we will take up this offering. We fall way behind on what we need and we are asking everybody to be as generous as possible toward this offering on July the 10th.

Blood DriveThere will be a blood drive on July 17 at St. Peter. Sign-up sheets will be made available next week. Please, Please if you can at all, give blood.

Moving In And Out”… Summer time is often a time of transitions for families. We want to say farewell to any people who may be leaving and thank you for your participation in our parish. We also wish to welcome any new individuals or families at St. Peter Parish and we invite you to make yourself known to us and to register with the parish. Parish registration forms are available in the vestibule, or call the Parish Office at 662-226-2490.

Choose Life  A veteran researcher into post-abortion trauma, David Reardon, writes that some abortionists readily admit feelings of guilt. “I do feel you’re an abnormal person if you could really honestly say that abortion didn’t bother you at all,” said one abortionist he interviewed. “It goes against all things which are natural. It’s a termination of life, however you look at it.”  (LifeDate, Lutherans for Life newsletter, Spring, 1998)
