PARISH CENSUS

Sincere gratitude to all who cooperated in our effort to update our parish census.  We know that we missed some of our families and we ask you to take the time to fill out the census that we give you today.  Thanks for your help in completing this project.

RCIA

We continue to invite anyone who would be interested to stop in and join us at RCIA class.  Class is on Tuesday evenings and begins around 6:40.  This week we will continue the Ten Commandments and review our past classes.

THANKSGIVING

On Thanksgiving Day, we will have mass at 9:00 a.m.  In place of a regular offering, we ask you to bring non-perishable food items to be given to the hungry.  Please keep the items with you in the pew.  We will then have an offertory procession where you will bring them to the altar.  We will have a special prayer for those who brought the food gifts, and for those who will be receiving them.

SINCERE GRATITUDE

Thanks to the Knights of Columbus for the wonderful breakfast they fixed for us on Sunday.  Thanks also for the very good turnout of our parishioners who shared in this event.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Tony and Jennifer Glorioso, whose infant child Anthony was reborn in the waters of baptism this weekend.

THINKING OF PRIESTHOOD?

For those thinking about the priesthood, a Jackson-area group meets periodically for prayers and discussion about faith and vocation – with no commitment or expectations – just the opportunity to connect with others who have similar interests and questions.  CONTACT:  Father Kent Bowlds, vocation director, 601-944-9844, frkent@bellsouth.net.

DAILY MASS

The eucharist is a great source of God’s blessings.  I feel that we have some more people who could avail of

this blessing from time to time.  I encourage all who are able, to attend daily mass whenever possible.

PLEASE REMEMBER – Let us think carefully before we order.  When a box arrives, usually a bill arrives shortly thereafter.  Please also remember to check thermostats, lights and doors when leaving our buildings

HOSPITAL…….. Due to the privacy act, hospitals no longer provide a list of patients for our use as clergy.  Accordingly, I need your assistance.  Please call the parish office when you have a family member, a friend, or relative hospitalized so that I may visit with them and pray with them.   –Fr. Ruane

CRY ROOM

In our churches, the purpose of the cry room is to help people with little babies, or small children who may be crying, or need attention.  I’m asking, as your priest and friend, if you have left the crying stage, please leave the room for those with little children who need it.  PS – Even in new churches, the cry room is being built intentionally small to keep members from slipping in there. – Fr.Ruane
