VACATION

Father Ruane will be leaving immediately after mass next Sunday, hoping to make connections in Jackson for a trip to visit with his family in Ireland and to help straighten out his brother’s farming operations.  He will be returning at the end of August.

 

WELCOME……We welcome Father Dan Gallagher, who will be taking care of us on the weekends while Father Ruane is gone. ( I hope you will be nice to him because it is getting more and more difficult to find a priest to supply. – Fr. While on vacation……Since I was unable to find a priest for weekday masses, we will not have daily mass.  There will be a Communion service on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 8:00 a.m.  I encourage you to participate in those services when at all possible.

 

HOSPITAL…….. Due to the privacy act, hospitals no longer provide a list of patients for our use as clergy.  Accordingly, I need your assistance.  Please call the parish office when you have a family member, a friend, or relative hospitalized so that I may visit with them and pray with them.   –Fr. CONDOLENCES – We ext end our sincere sympathy to Joe Badome and his family on the untimely death of his brother Jerry.  May God bless this family at this difficult time.

RCIA

The RCIA is the usual way that people come into full communion with the Catholic Church.  If you or anyone you know is interested in the Catholic faith, would like a refresher course in the Catholic faith, or have lapsed from the Catholic faith, we will begin a very special class around the end of September or beginning of October.  If you have any questions, please feel totally free to call Father Ruane at the number listed above.

CATHOLIC MEN’S CONFERENCE

The third annual Catholic Man’s conference, “Who do you say that I am?”, is set for August 18 – 20, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale.  The conference begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and ends Sunday at 12:00 noon.  For more information, please pick up a brochure in the church vestibule.
