ANNUAL REUNION

Fr. Ruane will be attending an annual reunion (traditionally known as the reunion of priests who were ordained at St. Patrick seminary in Ireland) with his brother priests.  It is an opportunity to stay in touch with friends, but unfortunately has not been as pleasant the last couple of years because of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.  The reunion runs from Monday, January 8 through Wednesday, January 11.  Please call the church office, or Carolyn Parsons (226-0530), if you need something during this time.

 

BIBLE SCHOOL

Now that Bible School has resumed, we again encourage all of our children to participate in these classes.  We are always disappointed when some of our children are absent for varying reasons.

 

RCIA

The RCIA classes will resume on Tuesday, January 16, immediately after 6:00 pm mass.  The topic this week will be baptism.  Anyone who may be interested in brushing up on this sacrament is very welcome to join us.

 

RIP – Your prayers are requested for the happy repose of the soul of Elmarie Williams, whom the Lord called home last week.  May God give her eternal rest, and bless her family and friends.

WORLD MARRIAGE DAY is Sunday, February 12, 2007.  Couples celebrating their 25th, 50th, or 60th wedding anniversary in 2007, please call Carolyn at the rectory, so that you can be included in a special mass and celebration with the bishop at St. Peter Cathedral on World Marriage Day.

MORE DIOCESAN NEWS

A reunion for anyone, adult or youth, who has visited our Diocesan Mission in Saltillo, Mexico, is planned for January 27, 2007, at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Jackson.  This reunion will coincide with our Diocesan Youth Conference.  The year 2007 marks the 10th anniversary of the death of Fr.
