CHURCH ENVELOPES

I would like to thank those who picked up their church envelopes, and encourage those who may have forgotten to pick them up this week or next.  My sincere gratitude to those who use them faithfully. –MR

 

RCIA

The RCIA classes will resume on Tuesday, January 16, immediately after 6:00 pm mass.  The topic this week will be baptism.  Anyone who may be interested in brushing up on this sacrament is very welcome to join us.

 

LECTORS/EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

A List of those who expressed an interest in serving our church as lectors and/or Eucharistic ministers is posted in the vestibule of the church.  I would like to meet with all these people Thursday, January 25 after the 6:00 pm mass.  I hope this gives everyone adequate opportunity to plan to be with us as this is a very important meeting.  If you are interested in serving in one of these capacities and your name is not on the list, please contact the rectory so we can add you.

 

CYO CONVENTION

All students planning on going to convention need to attend a meeting at 4:00 this Sunday, January 14th , in the education building.  We will be discussing final plans for convention

 

ADULT EDUCATION

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL – A new study will begin this week.  The topic is Genesis.  All adults are invited to attend.  The Adult Sunday School class meets from 10:15 to 11:15 in the green room of the Family Life Center.

 

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY – A new Women’s Bible Study, “Experiencing God”, will begin on Sunday, February 4th.  The Women’s Bible Study meets on Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 in the Education Building.  The books are available at Cornerstone Bookstore.  Call Jeannie Logan at 226-0406 if you have any questions.

 

LADIES AUXILIARY

There will be a Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary meeting on Tuesday, January 23rd following the 6:00 pm mass.  All members are encouraged to attend.  If you need more information, contact Rosa Buzzarde at 226-9716.

 

DIOCESAN NEWS

A reunion for anyone, adult or youth, who has visited our Diocesan Mission in Saltillo, Mexico, is planned for January 27, 2007, at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Jackson.  This reunion will coincide with our Diocesan Youth Conference.  The year 2007 marks the 10th anniversary of the death of Fr. BIBLE SCHOOL

Now that Bible School has resumed, we again encourage all of our children to participate in these classes.  We are always disappointed when some of our children are absent for varying reasons.
