ALTAR SERVERS/CROSS BEARERS

MINISTERS OF HOSPITALITY (USHERS)

There is a list in the vestibule of the church of those who signed up for the positions listed above.  I would  like to meet with all these people Thursday, February 8, after the 6:00 pm mass.   Please plan to be with us as this is a very important meeting.  If you are interested in serving in one of these capacities and your name is not on the list, please contact the rectory so we can add you.

RCIA

RCIA will meet immediately after 6:00 pm mass on Tuesday.  We will discuss the sacrament of Reconciliation.  Anyone who may be interested in learning more about this sacrament is welcome to join us.

LECTORS/EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

We hope that those who attended the Lectors/Eucharistic Ministers meeting have received their schedules and the list for contacting replacements.  If you have not received your schedule, see Carolyn.

BIBLE SCHOOL TEACHERS

We had a very good meeting with Father Ruane, Frankie Fortier and our Bible School teachers this past Thursday.  It was agreed that Fr. Ruane will address Bible School at the masses this weekend.  It was also agreed that food and drinks will not be brought into the Education Building.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

A new women’s Bible Study, “Experiencing God”, will begin on Sunday, February 4th.  The Women’s Bible Study meets on Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 in the Education Building.  The books are available at Cornerstone Bookstore.  Call Jeannie Logan at 226-0406 if you have any questions.

COME ONE, COME ALL

St. Peter Family Life Center – Now that we are set up in our new building, we hope that you will join us for coffee and doughnuts beginning Sunday, February 18th.  If you are interested in helping with this, please see the sign up sheet in the back of church.

MISSISSIPPI CATHOLIC

February is Mississippi Catholic Press month.  We ask you to please drop your envelope with payment for the Mississippi Catholic paper in the offertory sometime during this month.  The cost of the paper is $18.  The parish will be billed for this, whether the people pay or not.  If you are not receiving the Mississippi Catholic and would like to, please contact Carolyn at the rectory.

WELCOME AND CONGRATULATIONSto our newest parish member, Kyle, who was born this past week at Grenada Lake Medical Center.  Kyle is the son of Chris and Kathy Taylor.

BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS - The deadline for announcements will be on Thursday at noon.

Please contact the rectory at 226-2490, or send an email to stpeter@cableone.net.

Now that Bible School has resumed, we again encourage all of our children to participate in these classes.  We are always disappointed when some of our children are absent for varying reasons.
