YEAR OF THE CHILD
We are fortunate this weekend to host Sister Donna Gunn, who has
been speaking throughout Mississippi on this topic. Please join us after mass on Sunday, March 25th in the
Family Life Center for coffee and doughnuts, and to hear Sister Donna as she discusses the
greatest concerns for children in our area.
CYO
There will
be a Youth Lenten Gathering on Sunday, March 25 at 5:00 pm.
Dinner will be served.
EASTER EGG HUNT
We will have an Easter egg hunt after mass on Easter Sunday
morning. We are asking for donations of
plastic eggs. Please bring them next Sunday
(April 1) and leave them in the back of church.
RCIA
RCIA class
will meet Tuesday, March 27, after 6:00 pm mass. We
will have a tour of the church, and an explanation of all furnishings and all the items
used in the celebration of the mass (chausible, paten, etc.)
ALTAR SERVERS
There will be a meeting on Wednesday, March 28, at 7:00 pm for
all persons interested in being altar servers. This
meeting is for all who are currently serving, and those interested in becoming servers. This is open to everyone currently in fourth
grade and up.
LIFE LINE SCREENING
Do you have diabetes? Are you legs sore after walking a short distance? Are you over 55 years of age? If yes, you may want to consider
being screened for peripheral arterial disease (PAD) risk.
Life Line Screening screens for plaque build up in the legs as only 25% of the 8
million persons with PAD are receiving treatment. St Peters Catholic Church is hosting a
screening on Thursday, March 29th. Call 1.800.324.1851 for more information or
to pre-register. The cost of this screening
is $129 for all four tests.
WAY OF THE CROSS
We will have
the Way of the Cross, and Benediction of the most holy Blessed Sacrament on Friday, March
30 at 6:00 pm. What better time to have
Benediction than during the holy season of Lent.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The Knights of Columbus will have a
Fish Fry on Friday, March 30. If you havent purchased your tickets yet,
please see a member of the K of C or Ladies Auxiliary.
Proceeds go the Priests Education Fund.
Plates can be picked up at the CAB.
GRENADA HOLY WEEK
SERVICE
Thanks to everyone who volunteered to
help with the Holy Week Service at the Presbyterian Church on Monday, April 2nd. We invite anyone available to attend and listen to
Father Ruane as he speaks to the group at lunch.
SEDER SUPPER/POTLUCK
We are
beginning preparations for our parish Seder Supper, which will be on Wednesday, April 4. If you would like to help out, please contact the

Catholic
Radio - I am pleased to announce that The
Catholic Channel on Sirius Satellite Radio is on the air! Our first official
broadcast was Mass for the first Sunday of Advent from Saint Patrick's Cathedral, and our
regular programming kicked off the next day, Monday, December 4. We're up
and running, and I hope that anyone with a Sirius radio will tune to Channel 159 to give
