SPECIAL MEETING -
There will be a special meeting for the Knights of  Columbus after church on Sunday May 27th

DAILY MASS

We are constantly hoping that people will avail themselves of the great gift we have in daily Eucharist.  In 20 or 25 minutes, the Lord speaks to us in Holy Scripture and invites us to dine with him as we receive His body and blood at His table.  Please join us at daily mass whenever possible.

SCHOOL IS OUT

I encourage parents of school children, when at all possible from time to time, take your children to church faithfully, and occasionally to daily mass.  They need and deserve it.

IN MEMORY - Flowers on the Altar this weekend are given in memory of Lowrey Dyre by his loving family.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN

In accordance with the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People passed by the U.S. bishops in Dallas, the Diocese of Jackson wishes to encourage any victim of sexual abuse by a member of the Catholic Clergy to come forward and begin the healing process. When an allegation is found to be credible, counseling will be offered, so that the healing process can begin in accord with our present diocesan policy. We encourage any victim to contact Mrs. Linda Raff, Victims Assistance Coordinator at 601-355-8634 Ext. 728.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES WORK TRIP

Catholic Charities Work Trips have been scheduled through August. Trip dates are: June 1-3, June 20-24, July 11-15, July 25-29 and August 9-15. Please visit our website at www.catholiccharitiesjackson.org for further information. Meals and lodging will be provided. Participants are responsible for their own transportation but carpooling can be arranged. All denominations and all skill levels (18 and older) are encouraged to attend. Those with construction and home repair experience are especially needed. Volunteers may attend all or portions of the trip. To sign up, please contact Theresa Prejean at 601.326.3758 or theresa.prejean@catholiccharitiesjackson.org.

GOD’S HOUSE KEEPERS - We are in desperate need of people, couples, or otherwise to take a turn at making sure that God’s house is clean neat, tidy, and fitting for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Please sign up on sheet in back of Church.

COFFEE AND DONUTS - We are very anxious to have coffee and donuts and  are in need of a family to take a month. This seems to cause confusion because often we have nobody and it is not that difficult an assignment. The donuts are picked up at Shipley’s The normal assignment is to pick up donuts, make coffee, tidy up, turn down thermostat and lock up. Please sign up on sheet in back Church.

CHOOSE LIFE

Since the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe V Wade decision legalizing abortion on demand for all nine months of pregnancy, almost 50 million unborn American children have been killed by Abortion. More unborn children die

every year than Americans died in all the nation’s wars combined.
