BIBLE SCHOOL –Sincere gratitude to Frankie Fortier and to anyone, and everyone who helped to make our mini Summer Bible school a Grand success.

 

USHERS AND LECTORS – We thank our parishioners who serve as faithfully at ushers and lectors at Mass. We are always in need of additional ushers and lectors and if anyone is interested please call the rectory or let Father Ruane know.

 

 CHURCH SUPPORT – Sincere gratitude to those who support our Church both regular funds and building funds. Many of you do this very faithfully and generously as a Church family every little bit helps.  Let us all try to do our part together.  Thank You and God Bless       

 

GOD’S HOUSE KEEPERS - Sincerer Gratitude to those who are willing to take a turn in keeping God’s house clean, neat, and tidy. We are stilling in need and we would like to have more people to help. Please sign up on sheet in back of Church.    P.S. We also need more volunteers for coffee and donuts after Mass.

 

CHOOSE LIFE – Those who counsel women with an unexpected pregnancy have a valuable technology tool at their disposal – an ultra sound machine that provides pictures of the unborn child in the womb. One young woman who was contemplating abortion said after seeing her baby’s sonogram: “as soon as I seen that, I was ready. It wasn’t no joke. It was real. It was like, he’s not born to the world yet but he is inside me growing.”  (San Diego Union-Tribune, 9/10/06)

 

CATHOLIC CHARITIES WORK TRIP - Catholic Charities Work Trips have been scheduled through August. Trip dates are: June 1-3, June 20-24, July 11-15, July 25-29 and August 9-15. Please visit our website at www.catholiccharitiesjackson.org for further information. Meals and lodging will be provided. Participants are responsible for their own transportation but carpooling can be arranged. All denominations and all skill levels (18 and older) are encouraged to attend. Those with construction and home repair experience are especially needed. Volunteers may attend all or portions of the trip. HOSPITAL VISITATION – Please call us at the rectory if you or a member of your family is in the hospital in Grenada or elsewhere. Hospitals have a privacy policy that doesn’t make known the people in the hospital. I would like to visit people while in the hospital if at all possible to pray with them and to give them a little encouragement.                                                   

 

SICK/HOMEBOUND/HOSPITALIZED - If you have anyone who is ill or homebound, or hospitalized please contact the rectory so they can be added to our prayer list, and Father Ruane can visit with them and pray with them.
