SINCERE GRADITUDE –The family of Lenora Marascalco would
like to thank sincerely everybody who participated in her funeral services, May God Bless
You All and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered for your intentions.
BON VOYAGE – I would like to thank the Parson’s
family for being a very active part of Saint Peter as Mass Servers and Lectors etc, a
special thank you to Carolyn who has been our Church secretary and has endeared herself to
our Church Family. We wish them well in their new home and pray God’s blessing on all
of them.
NEW SECRETARY – We welcome on board our new secretary
Karla Houston. We feel very fortunate that she is willing to accept this responsibility
and know that our Church Family will be supportive of her in every way.
SINCERE GRADITUDE – I would like to send a sincere word of
thanks and appreciation to Frankie Fortier, our director of religious education. Frankie is a very dedicated and very busy woman
and deserves a break from this assignment.
NEW CRE – Donna Mumme has accepted the new
position of Director of Religious Education for St. Peter Parish. Donna and her family are
very active members of St. Peter’s. She has already been involved in teaching a bible
school class. We are grateful that Donna has offered her gifts to the Parish, and we look
forward to her leadership of ministries.
USHERS AND LECTORS – We thank our parishioners who serve as
faithfully at ushers and lectors at Mass. We are always in need of additional ushers and
lectors and if anyone is interested please call the rectory or let Father Ruane know.
CHOOSE LIFE – “Bioethics is an exceedingly
important disciple for the future of our society, addressing critical issues in science
and life. This discipline cannot afford to compromise its integrity as new controversies
arise, selling its soul to powerful special interest groups like universities or biotech

CATHOLIC CHARITIES WORK TRIP - Catholic
Charities Work Trips have been scheduled through August. Trip dates are: July 11-15, July
25-29 and August 9-15. Please visit our website at www.catholiccharitiesjackson.org for
further information. Meals and lodging will be provided. Participants are responsible for
their own transportation but carpooling can be arranged. All denominations and all skill
levels (18 and older) are encouraged to attend. Those with construction and home repair
experience are especially needed. Volunteers may attend all or portions of the trip. To
sign up, please contact Theresa Prejean at 601.326.3758 or theresa.prejean@catholiccharitiesjackson.org.
HOSPITAL VISITATION – Please call us at the rectory if you or
a member of your family is in the hospital in Grenada or elsewhere. Hospitals have a
privacy policy that doesn’t make known the people in the hospital. I would like to
visit people while in the hospital if at all possible to pray with them and to give them a
little encouragement.
REMEMBER – Unless we are happy with who we are we
will never be happy with what we have….

homebound, or hospitalized please contact the rectory so they can be added to our prayer
list, and Father Ruane can visit with them and pray with them.
