VACATION TIME Father Ruane will be visiting family and
friends in Ireland during the month of August. He asks for remembrance in your prayers
during this time, and promises to remember all our Saint Peter Church Family in his daily
Masses and prayers. Thanks and God Bless
WELCOME We welcome Father Al Camp who will take
care of these weekends that Father Ruane is on vacation. It is almost impossible to find a
substitute priest because of the scarcity of priest. So we are most thankful Father Camp
is willing to help us out. Please treat him with kindness and hospitality.
COMMUNION SERVICE While Father Ruane is on vacation we
will not have daily Mass, because no priest is available. We will have a daily communion
service the same time as our daily Masses. They are made up of daily scripture prayers and
the privilege to receive Holy Communion.
IN EMERGENCIES If you should need a priest in an
emergency while I am away, call:
Father Messina @ 662-563-2273 or Father Camp @
601-856-5556.
REMINDER Reminder to all CCD teachers to please
return their CCD workbooks from last years classes to: Donna Mumme
LITURGICAL MINISTERS During these holiday months people
are frequently out of town on weekends. Please contact somebody to take your place if you
are unable to serve on your weekend.
USHERS AND LECTORS We thank our parishioners who serve as
faithfully at ushers and lectors at Mass. We are always in need of additional ushers and
lectors and if anyone is interested please call the rectory or let Father Ruane know.
CHOOSE LIFE Why is abortion a bone in the throat
of contemporary culture? Because we all know intuitively that it violates the rules that
make a loving, civilized culture possible. We also know that far from being a
victimless crime, abortion kills an innocent passenger and maims the unknowing
driver.
