When
you are assigned to be a
Lector or Eucharistic Minister please take the responsibly serious. If you cant
serve at that particular Mass please find a replacement from your list.
Why Catholic?
We encourage all who signed
up to try to participate, come on time, read the material before hand and you should
really enjoy your group meeting. P.S. We ask that whatever building you use
for your group especially if it is a night meeting to lock all doors and turn off heat and
cooler. A Big Thank You!
Special
On Tuesday November 3rd
we will have a special Mass at 6:00pm for all of our young people grades
Mass
7 thru 12. The talk during Mass will
be especially geared toward our young people. Mass will be
followed by a hamburger
supper accompanied by fun and fellowship. We are hoping that all of our young
people
will participate in this
special evening and they will not be expected to come to Bible School on Sunday Nov. 8th.
It is very important that
our young people Grade 7 through 12 be with us for this Mass and Celebration.
Grade School
We will have a similar Mass
and celebration for our little ones through the 6th grade. Details to be
announced.
R. I. P. Please remember Pat Pennington former friend and
parishioner of Fr. Ruane who died after a long battle with cancer. May God Bless his wife,
family and friends.
Choose Life
The day after the march
for life on January 22, 2009, President Obama overturned the Mexico City Policy begun by
President Reagan and continued under both Presidents Bush. What this means is that
American taxpayer dollars will be used by groups like International Planned Parenthood to
promote the legalization of abortions at all stages of pregnancy in countries across the
world. (Paul Kengor,
National Catholic Register, 2/8-14/09)
PLEASE REMEMBER TURN YOUR
CELLPHONE OFF WHILE IN CHURCH!
Thank you for you cooperation.
Quotes:
1.
Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that
says, Make me feel important. Not only will you succeed in sales, you will
succeed in life. (Mary
Kay Ash, 1918-2001, Founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics)
2.
My mother drew a distinction between achievement and success, she said that
achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that
is in you, success is being praised by others. That is nice but not as important or
satisfying. Always aim for achievement success will follow. (Helen
Hayes 1900-1993, Award Winning Actress) 3.
There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference.
That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or
negative. (W.
Clement Stone, 1902-2002, American businessman, author)
4.
Self-discipline
begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you dont control what you think, you
cant control what you do.
(Napoleon
Hill, 1883-1970, Author) 5.
Words can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitudes toward life. The
longer I live the more convinced I become that life is 10 percent what happens to us and
90 percent how we respond to it. (Charles
Swindoll, 1934-, American pastor, Author)
