WHY CATHOLIC Please read the letter enclosed with
your bulletin this week on Why Catholic, a journey through the teachings of our Catholic
Faith.
It
especially
Fosters the goals of Our
Hearts Were Burning Within Us.
Encourages
adult learning in a prayerful small community setting.
Provides
leadership workshops with strong catechetical content.
Offers
a vehicle for whole parish catechesis.
I would be
grateful if you would give me your names, if you would be willing to participate in a
preparatory workshop in Batesville, at Saint Mary, on Tuesday November 6, 2007 at 10:30am.
P.S. I feel that this is a wonderful
opportunity for evangelization for our parish and I give it my whole hearted support.
HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION
This Thursday November 1st The Feast of All Saints, is a Holy Day of
Obligation. Vigil Mass for the Holy Day will be this Wednesday at 6:00pm and Thursday

SINCERE GRADITUTE - To all our people who
worked with our young people to prepare the food, the games, and the fun for our Halloween
party.
WORLD MARRIAGE DAY
If any of our couples
have been married for 25, 50, or 60 years, you might want to fill in the register form (in
the back of the Church) and you will be invited to a special anniversary Mass offered by
the Bishop and you will receive a personal invitation.
Words Of
Wisdom I love
the person that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow
brave by reflection. (Thomas
Paine (1737-1809) British-American Writer)
CATHOLIC CHARITIES

DAILY MASS Happily the attendance of
daily Mass has greatly improved. We continue to encourage our people to avail of this.
BIBLE SCHOOL We feel we got off to a
very good start these past Sundays, Thanks to Donna Mumme and all of the teachers who made
this possible. Thanks to parents and children for your cooperation. Let us work together
to continue to improve.
PLEASE NOTE - That we have a class for 3
and 4 year olds in our Sunday morning Bible School Classes, all our children
of that age are strongly encouraged to attend.
CHOOSE LIFE Embryos
are not potential human beings; rather they are human beings with potential. Embryos are
potential tax payers, potential pianists and potential bank robbers, but the only reason
they have all that remarkable potential (and so much more besides) is because of what they
already are, namely human beings. (Rev.
Tadeusz Pacholczyk, Ph.D., The
Southern Cross, 5/10/07)
