WHY CATHOLIC Sincere gratitude to our people from
St. Peter who attended the Regional workshop on Why Catholic. I believe we had the largest
representation there, much more on this program later.
MASS SERVERS We will meet with all our Mass Servers
today after Bible School in the Church. This is a very special ministry in our Church
Family and Im asking for the support and corporation of their parents.
THANKS, to David Upchurch and Mike Liberto
for working with these children.
WORLD MARRIAGE DAY If any of our couples have
been married for 25, 50, or 60 years, you might want to fill in the registration form (in
the back of the Church) and you will be invited to a special anniversary Mass offered by
the Bishop.
Words Of Wisdom The
greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will out last it.
(William
James, philosopher)
BIBLE SCHOOL We feel we got off to a
very good start these past Sundays, Thanks to Donna Mumme and all of the teachers who made
this possible. Thanks to parents and children for your cooperation. Let us work together
to continue to improve.
PLEASE NOTE - That we have a class for 3
and 4 year olds in our Sunday morning Bible School Classes, all our children
of that age are strongly encouraged to attend.
CHOOSE LIFE Sometimes a single
issue will be so important that it overrides a whole range of lesser issues
. The
taking of the life of an unborn child is such an issue. The arbitrary destruction of such
life cannot be justified on the grounds that one should be free to choose to kill.
(Bishop Donald Wuerl, St. Thomas More Society Lecture, May, 2004)
LITURGICAL MINISTERS During these holiday months
people are frequently out of town on weekends. Please contact somebody to take your place
if you are unable to serve on your weekend.
USHERS AND LECTORS We thank our parishioners who serve as
faithfully at ushers and lectors at Mass. We are always in need of additional ushers and
lectors and if anyone is interested please call the rectory or let Father Ruane know.
