All SoulsThe month of November in our Catholic Church is traditionally, the month in which we remember, with love and prayer the souls of our dear departed ones. Masses during the month of November, unless otherwise requested, will be offered for the faithfully departed.

Please NoteMass this coming Thursday, November 19, will be at 6:00pm in the evening only. This is a Mass requested by the Knights of Columbus, in memory of the deceased members of the Knights. It will be followed by a supper for their wives and those participating in Mass, immediately after Mass.

As PromisedWe invite all our children, little ones, through grade six and their parents to a Special Mass on Tuesday November 24th. The children will be participating in the reading and singing. We will have a special treat and time together. The desired treat seems to be pizza. We look forward to having a good time with this part of our church family.

New ComersWe would very much like to welcome our new families and to recognize them if at all possible at our annul Christmas Supper on December 13th.

We will begin the next session of  “Why Catholic?” I believe in Lent. Details later. M.R.

Choose Life Addressing the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Professor Rocco Buttiglione noted the prevalence of forced abortion in China and other parts of Asia: “There are countries covering one quarter of humanity in which abortion of the second child is required. There are countries spanning perhaps another quarter of humanity in which it is possible for women to be bribed with the offer of aid to have abortions.  (Newsmax.com, 7/31/09)

Quotes 1. Opportunity never sneaks up on those who straddle the fence of indecision. (Roger Lewandowski)    2. “A good plan is like a road map: it shows the final destination and usually the best way to get there.
