THANKSGIVING We
are hoping that many of our people will make a special effort to give thanks to the Lord
for the blessings we enjoy on Thanksgiving morning. We will have Mass at
9:00am in the morning.
We are asking our people to bring, as we have in the last couple of years, a
Non-Perishable item or items. We will pass these food items on to the Food Pantry to help
the needy in our community. The Jr. CYO is also
collecting Non -Perishable food items for this cause.
PLEASE
In order to keep our
Church neat and tidy and be fitting the dignity for which it is used we are asking you not
to drop off food items in the church prior to Thanksgiving Day.
PARISH NEWCOMERS WELCOME We encourage all of our new parish
family members to try to be with us for our Christmas Supper, so that we can acknowledge
them and welcome them. This will include anybody who has come to our parish in the last
year or two.
DATES
December 10th Parish Penance (confession) Service 6:00pm.
TO December
14th Parish Christmas Supper, highlighted hopefully by the

of our Catholic Santa Clause with his sack of candy for the children.
O. some of the parents, we thought it would be a great
idea to have a bake sale in conjunction with our Christmas
Parish Supper, details
later.
R.C.I.A. You are invited to join
us this Tuesday evening after the 6:00pm Mass to continue our discussion of our Catholic
Faith. Discussion this week: The Bible.
CARMELITE MONASTERY
if you are leaning toward
something of a religious nature as a Christmas gift for some body, please consider the
Carmelite Gift Shop in Jackson. They have quite a variety, and to help them is a very
worthy cause.
WHY CATHOLIC? Please continue to be
faithful to your Why Catholic? group. Try if at all possible despite how busy
we might be to be faithful to your group and your time.
CHOOSE LIFE
The provision of nutrition and hydration, even by
artificial means, should be considered part of ordinary care and therefore obligatory.
Withholding fluid and nutrition does not allow any disease to take its course.
Rather it leads to another cause of death: starvation or dehydration. Starvation and
dehydration do not prevent suffering; they cause it. (Dr. George Delgado, Culture of
Life Family Services)
