CHRISTMAS Date; December
9th
SUPPER *
Time; 6:00pm
Place;
St. Peter Family Life Center
We
are looking forward to a happy time together for our Church Family. We will have lots
of food, singing of Christmas Carols,
hopefully a visit from our Catholic Santa Claus and
an
opportunity to mix and mingle together as a Church Family.
CHRISTMAS PENANCE SERVICE
We hope that our Church Family
will make every effort to make a good confession at our preparation for Christmas Penance
Service, December 12th at 6:00pm.
WELCOME AND THANKS We are most grateful to the priest who
have agreed to help at our Penance Service, Fr. Sam Messina, Fr. Thomas Delaney, Fr.
Gerard Hurley, and Fr. Mike OBrien. `
CONGRADULATION We would like to congratulate Samuel
Stewart for winning 1st place at the Grenada Elementary Schools
Reading Fair 2nd grade division, Congratulations!!!!!
FOOD PANTRY Perhaps there was a misunderstanding
about our being asked to help stock the Grenada food pantry, so if you can help in this
project you can drop off your non-perishable food items in the room directly behind the
Rectory (formally called the AA room) anytime.
R.C.I.A. The RCIA will resume this Tuesday
evening after the 6:00pm Mass and anybody and everybody is still welcome to avail any
session.
FIRST PENANCE Father Ruane will meet
with the parents of all the children who will be making their First Confession and First Communion this Saturday December 1st
at 10:00am.
Very important meeting, make
every effort to be there!
MASS SERVERS Good progress has been made with our
youngsters, David Upchurch and Mike Liberto thought it would be good to break them down
into smaller groups. They will begin this process on December 2nd.
WORLD MARRIAGE DAY
If any of our couples have
been married for 25, 50, or 60 years, you might want to fill in the registration form (in
the back of the Church) and you will be invited to a special anniversary Mass offered by
the Bishop.
Words Of Wisdom
He
who thanks with but the lips thanks but in part; the full, the true Thanksgiving comes
from the heart. (J.A.
Shedd)
Words Of Wisdom
- A man grows most tired from standing still.
(Chinese Proverb)
CHOOSE LIFE Taking the lives of young human
embryos cannot be pronounced ethical simply because it might result in huge benefits to
older, more powerful or more wealthy humans.
(Scientist
and medical ethicist Rev. Tadeusz Pacholczyk, Ph. D. The Southern Cross 7/5/07)
