THANKSGIVING

I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving this coming Thursday and I hope everyone will make an honest effort to give Thanksgiving a special meaning by coming to mass and giving thanks to the Lord.

On Thanksgiving Day, we will have mass at 9:00 a.m.  For the Thanksgiving mass, we are asking you to bring in non-perishable food items to be given to the needy and less well off.  Please keep the items with you in the pew.  We will then have an offertory procession where you will bring them to the altar.  The items we collect will be given to the food pantry.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Kim and Kevin Cook on the baptism of their children after mass on Saturday, November 25.  We rejoice with them and their family on this special day.

HOSPITAL…….. Due to the privacy act, hospitals no longer provide a list of patients for our use as clergy.  Accordingly, I need your assistance.  Please call the parish office when you have a family member, a friend, or relative hospitalized so that I may visit with them and pray with them.   –Fr. Ruane

CRY ROOM

In our churches, the purpose of the cry room is to help people with little babies, or small children who may be crying, or need attention.  I’m asking, as your priest and friend, if you have left the crying stage, please leave the room for those with little children who need it.  PS – Even in new churches, the cry room is being built intentionally small to keep members from slipping in there. – Fr.Ruane

DAILY MASS

The eucharist is a great source of God’s blessings.  I feel that we have some more people who could avail of

this blessing from time to time.  I encourage all who are able, to attend daily mass whenever possible.

PLEASE REMEMBER – Let us think carefully before we order.  When a box arrives, usually a bill arrives shortly thereafter.  Please also remember to check thermostats, lights and doors when leaving our buildings
