SINCERE GRATITUDE

Thanks to all of those who brought non-perishable food items to be shared with the members of our community who are not so well off as we are.  They come to our rectory door quite often and we hope we will always remember the words of our Lord, “As long as you did it for one of my least, you did it for me”.

NEWCOMERS

We are hoping that our new families we have had join us in the last year or two will make a special effort to join us for our Christmas Supper so that we can recognize them and make them feel welcome here at St. Peter.

CONFESSIONS – PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE………….Penance Service - Mark your calendars for December 13th, 6:00 pm., when we, as a church family, will have the opportunity to make a good confession in preparation for the rebirth of the Lord in each of us this Christmas.  We will be hopefully blessed with priests coming from as far away as Woodville.  (Names of priests to be listed closer to date of Penance Service.)

CRY ROOM

In our churches, the purpose of the cry room is to help people with little babies, or small children who may be crying, or need attention.  I’m asking, as your priest and friend, if you have left the crying stage, please leave the room for those with little children who need it.  PS – Even in new churches, the cry room is being built intentionally small to keep members from slipping in there. – Fr.Ruane

For those thinking about the priesthood, a Jackson-area group meets periodically for prayers and discussion about faith and vocation – with no commitment or expectations – just the opportunity to connect with others who have similar interests and questions.  CONTACT:  Father Kent Bowlds, vocation director, 601-944-9844, frkent@bellsouth.net.

DAILY MASS

The eucharist is a great source of God’s blessings.  I feel that we have some more people who could avail of

this blessing from time to time.  I encourage all who are able, to attend daily mass whenever possible.
