EASTER GREETINGS
I take this
opportunity to wish all of our people a happy and Christ filled Easter and Easter season. May the risen Christ give us the joy and peace
that we can receive only through Him. Let us
continue to remember those less well off than we are, the sick, the hurting, and the
suffering. Gods blessing to all!
MR.
A HAPPY FOR THE CHILDREN
We have planned an extra happy for the
children. In place of an Easter Egg hunt we will be inviting all of our children up after
our Masses. When they receive their surprise we will also show our affirmation and our
love for our children at that time.
CONGRADULATIONS
Congratulations and
Gods Blessings to Sidney Hood, Christy Strong, John Portis and Cynthia Logan reborn
in the waters of baptism this Holy Saturday night and also received into full union of our
Catholic Faith through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Holy Eucharist.
ALSO - Congratulations to John
and Fresha Jane Portis on the very happy occasion that Regena Jane Portis will be baptized
on the same night as her dad.
PRIESTS RETREAT
Father Ruane will be participating in the annual diocesan clergy
retreat with Bishop Latino and a majority of the other priests from our diocese. The retreat will be at St. Mary of the Pines in
Chattewa, MS beginning on Monday and ending mid-morning on Friday.
DAILY MASS
Because of the fact that I will be on retreat I will not be
having daily mass this week. I do encourage
everyone to participate in the communion services that will be taking place at the
scheduled daily mass times.
SINCERE GRATITUDE
To all who helped make our Holy Week services meaningful and
sacred as Lectors, Eucharist ministers, Mass Servers and those who helped decorate and fix
up our Church for the sacred ceremony of Holy Week.
CHOOSE LIFE The delicate buds of
spring, bursting with new life, will soon appear on trees and flowers. Easter brings
another, even more precious form of new life. As we value and protect these types of new
life, let us act with the same reverence and awe toward the miracle in the gift of each
new human life.
USHERS AND LECTORS We thank our parishioners who serve
faithfully as ushers and lectors at Mass. We are always in need of additional ushers and
lectors and if anyone is interested please call the rectory or let Father Ruane know.
IF ***** If for any reason you are unable to
serve as Lector or Eucharist Minister when assigned Please make every effort
to get a replacement. Thank You
