WHY CATHOLIC MEETING There will be a training workshop at Saint Francis in Greenwood,
anybody interested are not only invited but are encouraged to attend. The date is this
Sunday April 6th at 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
EASTER SEASON Remember we celebrate the Easter season for fifty (50) days up to
Pentecost, wont you make every effort to enjoy the Easter Season by the sharing in
the daily Eucharist when possible.
FIRST COMMUNION We will celebrate 1st
Holy Communion on Mothers Day, May 11th. I
think this is a very special gift to mom that their child receive the Lord in Holy
Communion for the first time on Mothers Day. We
will meet with the parents of the First Communion Children on Tuesday April 15th
immediately after the 6:00pm Mass. It is very
important that both parents try to be present.
CHOOSE LIFE The production of
embryonic-type stem cells from ordinary human cells, like skin cells, represents a
tremendous scientific milestone, the biological equivalent of the Wright Brothers
first airplane
Its a bit like learning how to turn lead into gold. Dr.
Robert Lanza, chief science officer of Advanced Cell Technology, a pioneer in the effort
to extract stem cells from cloned embryos.
