FIRST HOLY COMMUNION – We congratulate and ask God to Bless our little ones who will be making their First Holy Communion on Mothers Day, they are: Cameron Logan, William Logan, Sydney Matrisciano, Caroline Mumme, Samuel Stewart, Chaz Trost, Carl Turallo, Noah Merriman, Jayden Corbin, Samantha Cook, Kaitlyn Cook, Albert Salinas, December Logan, Robert Logan IV. We ask God to also bless their family and friends on this special occasion.

THE BISHOP’S ANNUAL CATHOLIC SERVICE APPEAL has been set for the weekend of May 4th. The Catholic Service Appeal funds help maintain our 27 struggling mission parishes and also supports campus ministry programs which bring the sacraments and Catholic teaching to our young people.  ‘Care to Share’ your very best on May 4th for the sake of campus ministry and our 27 mission parishes. A tape from Bishop Latino will be played after Holy Communion.

MAY CROWNING – May is traditionally the month set aside to give special honor and respect to our blessed mother. We will have a special ceremony on Sunday, May 4th at 6:00pm. It is always special to honor and respect our mothers and we all would like to show great respect for the mother of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please make every effort to participate in this special service.

THE KNIGHITS OF COLUMBUS AND THE CYO are having a pulled pork BBQ plate fundraiser. Please support this worthy cause and enjoy a delicious BBQ plate for only $5.00. When: Friday May 2, from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the Family Life Center.  Treat a friend! Tickets can be purchased from any Knight.

EASTER SEASON – Remember we celebrate the Easter season for fifty (50) days up to Pentecost, won’t you make every effort to enjoy the Easter Season by the sharing in the daily Eucharist when possible.

CHOOSE LIFE – Abortion is a procedure important to the process of in vitro fertilization, since “fetal reduction” is routinely used. Moreover, embryos are often destroyed in order to choose the most viable embryo for implantation into the woman’s womb. Further, “left-over” embryos are often looked upon as resources for scientific research, rather than as human beings at the beginning of their life who should never be objects of research done not for their benefit but for someone else’s. Richard Doerflinger, Associate Director of the U.S. Catholic Bishops’ Pro-Life Secretariat, commented that “one would have to call the IVF procedure a fairly efficient method of abortion, with a 95-96% success rate.”

THANK YOU – Father Brock says, “Thank You to those who helped with the poor people in Romania.”
