THE BISHOP’S ANNUAL CATHOLIC SERVICE APPEALThe second offering this weekend is the annual offering for the Bishop’s Service Appeal. We listened to the bishops’ tape last Sunday and we are all aware of the many needs of this Diocesan offering, Please be generous.

MAY CROWNING – May is traditionally the month set aside to give special honor and respect to our blessed mother. We will have a special ceremony this Sunday, May 4th at 6:00pm. It is always special to honor and respect our mothers and we all would like to show great respect for the mother of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please make every effort to participate in this special service.

EASTER SEASON – Remember we celebrate the Easter season for fifty (50) days up to Pentecost, won’t you make every effort to enjoy the Easter Season by the sharing in the daily Eucharist when possible.

AGAIN - I am asking you again to please turn off heat and cool air when leaving our family life center.

Willful waste makes woeful want We received a utility bill for our family life center last month for over $600.00.

CHOOSE LIFE – In a desperate attempt at rationalizing their support for abortion, some clergy in Schenectady, NY, held a ceremony to bless an abortion clinic as “sacred ground.” Pointing out the hypocrisy in this, Kathleen Gallagher of the New York Catholic Conference, said “For many years abortion proponents have been saying this is not a religious issue, you should keep religion out of this, and now all of a sudden they turn around and decide to bless an abortion clinic to gain respect for a procedure everybody knows is not worthy of respect.” (Albany Times Union)
