THE
RENEW PROGRAM Why Catholic?
is coming to our diocese and parish soon. Why
Catholic? A Journey Through the Catechism is a great way to take a new look at what
we believe and why we believe it. It is a
simple process, short meetings, and limited commitment. Come
join a small group and discover your faith more deeply. Why
Catholic? will begin its first small group sessions in the fall. More information will be available in the upcoming
weeks.

MOVING
IN AND OUT Summer time is often a time
of transition for families. We want to say farewell to any people who may be leaving and
thank you for your participation in our parish. We also wish to welcome any new
individuals or families at Saint Peter and we invite you to make yourself known to us and
to register with the parish. Parish registration forms are available in the vestibule, or
call the Parish Office at (662) 226-2490.
WORDS OF WISDOM There is nothing to it.
You only have to hit the right notes at the right time, and the organ plays
itself
..Definition of a lie: An abomination to the Lord, but a very present help in
time of trouble.
By night an atheist half
believes in God
..Christians are those who feel repentance on a Sunday for what they
did on Saturday and will continue to do on Monday
..Three people may be able to keep
a secret, if two of them are dead.
CHOOSE LIFE The Dutch have
decided that killing is an acceptable answer to human suffering. While it started with
just a few, that is the people who supposedly were at the end of life, it very quickly
became the many, i.e. people with disabilities or those who wanted to die. Wesley J.
Smith, The
Southern Cross,
