Dear Church Members, I
attended Mary Dyres Mass
the other day and I
wanted to personally tell you how very special
the service was and the
meal afterwards was exceptional. I wanted
you all to know what a
great job you all did.
Sincerely, Mitchell M.
Lundy, Jr. Chancery Court Judge
Year Of The Priests
Benedict the XVI has
declared June
19th 2009
June 19th 2010 as the year for priests, as we are all
aware of the fact that
there is a growing scarcity of priests.
Parishioners are
encouraged to pray for priests and vocations
during the coming year
both at home and at church.
Rite Of Christian Initiation Of
Adults
The R.C.I.A.
will resume in the fall.
If you know of anyone interested in the
R.C.I.A., or for more
information, please call the
Rectory at 662-226-2490.
PLEASE... When using any of the
buildings, please make sure
that the door locks
behind you when you leave. Push, pull, turn
knobs
just check to
see if it is locked. Thanks!!
Good Morning 2 You
May you be blessed with
warmth in
your home, love in your
heart, peace in your soul and joy in your life.
Quotes
1. The person that knows HOW
will always have a job. The person who knows WHY will always be his boss. Diane Ravitch
2. Only those who
constantly retool themselves stand a chance of staying employed in the years ahead. Tom Peters, Author
3.
I love the man who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grows
brave by reaction. Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is
firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death. Thomas Paine, (1737-1809,
Anglo-American Political Theorist, Writer)
Choose Life
A 2008 federal law will give
new or expectant parents the latest information about Down syndrome or other Disabilities,
give referrals to support services, and help create a national registry to connect parents
with Down Syndrome children. A measure of how necessary this law is lies in the statistic
that 90o/o of parents who are told their unborn
child has Down syndrome
choose to abort the child. (NRL News,
2/09)
